I enjoyed a very tasty lunch of Shrimp and Grits. The grits were nice and creamy topped with a generous serving of flavorful shrimp. The seasonings were spot on. At first glance, I didn’t think there were enough grits on my plate to accommodate the portion of shrimp. However, as I started eating, everything was fine. I will definitely visit this restaurant again to try some of the other menu items. I can not say anything negative about the service because I was with a large group of 40+ people and the servers handled the situation very well.

I got shrimp tacos & fried green tomatoes and they were absolutely delicious! My man got the red beans & rice and it was too! It was all fulfilling and we will be back!

My family dined for lunch today for my Dad's 87th birthday. Our waitress was so sweet and did everything perfectly, including indulging us by taking a family photo. Our table had boudin balls and hushpuppies appetizers. Several of our table had The Shrimp platter and it was a ton of food that they all enjoyed. 3 of us had the Melvin's Chicken plate which is 2 thin chicken breasts and some conecca sausage on top of mashed potatoes with sautéed onions and bacon drizzled in a sweet balsamic glaze. It was wonderful. The birthday boy had fried crab claws and french fries and beignets for dessert. Thank you Cajun Steamer for a great family meal.

I was seated by a host. It was 10 minutes before my waitress came & asked what I would like to start off with. She was very polite and very nice. She checked on my more than often which was a good thing. The food came out 15 minutes after i ordered. I ordered the boiled shrimp which was steamed a lil too long because it was hard to peel the skin off which made the shrimp tear but not too much but I had to eat some with the skin attached. The sauce I got was Cajun butter it was good not spicy just seasoned good. The drinks were really good.

I stood at the hostess stand for several minutes before a waitress finally came and asked me, "What do you need?" I replied, "to eat." I started to leave then, but I was hungry, and it wasn't crowded at all. She led me to my table, where she slung the menu and silverware onto the table and walked off to get a napkin for my drink. She took my drink order and I was ready to order when she returned. The food took a while, but I appreciate that because it was definitely fresh and hot. She seemed a little more friendly each time she returned to check on me and offered a to go cup of soda when she brought the ticket. I still still tipped her despite our initial encounter because maybe she just had something going on and didn't mean to come off the way she did. Overall, I had a good experience and would go back when in the area.

This was our first time at Cajun Steamer. The food was good, but I wish the shrimp had been a little crispier, they were soggy on the shrimp taco. I thought that the happy hour prices were a little high for the appetizers.
